Summer evenings at New Buffalo Beach always provide some of the most beautiful light, and this session was no exception. Warm sunshine reflected across Lake Michigan while a gentle breeze moved through the shoreline, creating the perfect atmosphere for maternity portraits.
Megan and Ashtin embraced the relaxed beauty of the location, spending the evening walking along the sand, laughing together, and soaking in this final season before their family grows. After documenting their relationship from engagement to marriage, getting to photograph them preparing to become parents felt incredibly special.

One of my favorite things about beach maternity sessions is how effortlessly timeless they feel. Neutral clothing, natural textures, and the calming colors of Lake Michigan create images that will always feel classic.
As the evening unfolded, we explored the shoreline and captured both joyful and quiet moments between Megan and Ashtin. From playful smiles to tender moments of them holding their growing baby, every image reflected the love and excitement they already have for this next chapter.
It is always an honor when couples invite me back to document more milestones after their wedding day. Watching their story continue beyond the wedding celebration is one of the most meaningful parts of being a photographer.
Celebrating the Next Chapter
Pregnancy is such a fleeting season, and documenting these moments before everything changes is always such a meaningful experience. Megan and Ashtin’s Maternity Session at New Buffalo Beach was filled with warmth, connection, and so much anticipation for the life they are about to begin together.
