Ginny and Quinten’s Morris Park Country Club wedding was the perfect combination of classic, romantic, and distinctly South Bend. With a traditional Catholic Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mishawaka, portraits around the University of Notre Dame, and a beautiful summer reception at Morris Park Country Club, their wedding day had so many meaningful places and moments woven throughout it.

Their vision for the day was summer formal, with a soft palette of pastel blue, pink, purple, and white accented with gold. Add in beautiful florals, a traditional Catholic Mass, a large wedding party, and golden-hour portraits on the golf course, and the entire day felt elegant while still being warm and personal.

The day began at Morris Park Country Club, where Ginny got ready surrounded by the people closest to her.

One of the sweetest parts of the morning was Ginny’s first look with her dad. Because Ginny and Quinten had decided not to see each other before the ceremony, these quiet moments with family became even more meaningful.

The anticipation of knowing that she wouldn’t see Quinten until she walked down the aisle made the morning feel especially emotional. There is something so beautiful about a couple choosing to preserve that traditional first moment while still creating opportunities for meaningful portraits with the people who helped them get there.

Ginny and Quinten chose to have their wedding ceremony at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mishawaka, celebrating their marriage with a traditional Catholic Mass.

Rather than having a first look together, they waited to see each other for the first time as Ginny walked down the aisle.

Before the ceremony, they also shared a quiet moment praying the rosary together from opposite sides of the church doors. It was such a meaningful way to have a private moment together while still honoring their decision not to see one another before the wedding.

Their Mass was filled with meaningful traditions that were important to them, including the consecration of the Eucharist and their visit to the Marian and Josephine side altars after Mass to offer flowers and ask for the intercessions of Mary and Joseph.

These moments are such an important part of a Catholic wedding story. They aren’t simply details that happen throughout the ceremony—they reflect the faith and traditions that are meaningful to the couple.

Wedding Portraits at Notre Dame

After the ceremony, we headed to the University of Notre Dame for portraits.

For Ginny and Quinten, visiting Notre Dame was an especially meaningful addition to their wedding day. The Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes was one of the locations they specifically wanted to incorporate, and it fit beautifully with the religious elements of their wedding.

The Grotto gave us an intimate setting for portraits, while the surrounding Notre Dame campus offered opportunities for a variety of architectural and outdoor images.

Ginny and Quinten’s pastel blue, pink, purple, and white color palette was beautiful against the classic country club setting. Gold accents and florals brought everything together for a soft, romantic summer aesthetic.

Their reception was filled with the kind of moments that make a wedding feel less like an event and more like a celebration of two families coming together.

One particularly personal detail was their decision to step away from the reception to have dinner privately while their guests enjoyed their meal. It gave them the opportunity to slow down and have a quiet moment together in the middle of a very full wedding day.

One of the highlights of Ginny and Quinten’s day was stepping away from the reception for portraits during golden hour.

The Morris Park golf course gave us a completely different backdrop from the church and Notre Dame. The open green landscape and evening light created a romantic, relaxed setting for some of their portraits.

Golden hour portraits are some of my favorite images to create during a wedding day because the energy shifts. The formal portraits and major events are behind you, and you get a few minutes where it feels like the two of you are simply enjoying being married.
