My Process

I'm both easy-going and organized, and I love to make you feel like you are talking with a friend. I have a whole process that I work through with clients to ensure you feel heard, valued, and like we can achieve the vision you have for your wedding or session. I love to think of my process as a bit more collaborative, inviting my client in to help with some of the creative direction while providing lots of assistance along the way. A big goal of mine is that each client feels truly comfortable throughout the whole process, from the initial inquiry to the final thank you email after receiving your finished gallery.

FAQ

I'm relaxed, calming, and very easy-going. Clients say I help them feel at ease and like they can really be themselves. For weddings, I work in a focused and organized manner, making sure that my couples present throughout the day. I offer gentle posing prompts that will generate authentic reactions from you and your wedding party, and you'll look back on photos that really feel authentic to your personality.

As for the process, you and I will work together to create a photo timeline so that things are organized and flow smoothly on your wedding day. This includes everything from getting ready to the family photo list, as well as all the important shots you and your person will want. When my second shooter and I aren't actively working on portraits, we default to documentary mode and really work to tell your story through candids and the unposed moments happening before us.

As many as turn out and aren't duplicates! I don't like to put an exact number on the amount of images you'll receive since every wedding and shoot is different, but I select all the images that turn out and make sure you aren't getting a bunch of the exact same shot, and I also include some black and white copies. It usually ends up being around 100 images per hour of shooting, give or take.

I use a gallery website called Pixieset to send and store your images. They will come to you in a pretty little email within 30 days of your session, and from there you can access, download, and print your images all in one spot! I will answer any questions you have about printing and downloading, but I use Pixieset because it's so dang simple and user-friendly.

After living in Indianapolis for 11 years, my family moved near the South Bend area to be closer to loved ones a few years ago. I consider myself a traveling photographer and serve multiple markets, including South Bend/Michiana, Indianapolis, Southwest Michigan, Southern Indiana, and beyond! My heaviest markets are the South Bend/Michiana and Indianapolis areas. Travel fees are applied for destinations outside of the South Bend/Michiana area.

While I can't control the weather, I can be super prepared for it! Thanks to living in the Midwest, I've shot in every weather condition you can think of, sometimes all on one day! I always keep tabs on the weather as your session approaches, and if it looks like things could be iffy, I will create backup options for shooting portraits. I also always have clear umbrellas in my car! Weather doesn't have to ruin your wedding day, and I encourage couples to embrace it and have all the fun they can, regardless of what mother nature is sending their way!

Yes! My second shooter is actually my sweet husband, Landon! We love working together and while I edit all the images after your wedding, he is my teammate on the day of. He shoots all the cool angles I can't get to from my point of view. People tell him at almost every wedding that he looks like Lil' Dicky and we take bets on how fast that will happen… but shhhh, don't tell him I told you!

Having a second shooter helps me have double the gear and an extra set of hands so I can operate as efficiently as possible on your wedding day!

Yep! When you receive your gallery, you'll also get a print release that gives you permission to print and share images. I know what it's like to want to show off photos of my family to friends, and all I ask is that when you post you don't throw a filter on the already edited images before posting to Instagram or Facebook, and that you tag me so that more amazing clients can find me! There are really easy and professional printing options through your gallery to make it simple, however you are free to print at your lab of choice as well!

Alright! If you like what you're hearing and you want to book, then fill out the inquiry form or email me and I'll get a brochure sent to you with my package pricing and details! If you want to have a call or Facetime to ask more questions, we'll make that happen. After that, you can reserve your date with a retainer payment that will go towards the balance of the package price, and I'll have us both sign a contract to make it official.
