Earlier this year, I had been wanting to attend a styled wedding shoot to get creative, polish my skills, and get some fresh content. This shoot couldn’t have happened at a more perfect time. My sweet spring and summer weddings all got downsized or postponed/cancelled, so heading to such an amazing shoot was just what I needed.
I had stumbled across The Shootout Society on Instagram, and loved their vibe and how they worked with so many awesome vendors and real couples, so I purchased a ticket for the Tropical Glam Styled Wedding Shoot they were hosting in Cincinnati last month.
This shoot was a DREAM! The vendor team (which I’ll list out below) came together to create a gorgeous modern, colorful, vibrant, amazing space, and those of us there photographing had the chance to get creative and photograph some lovely set ups.
Our models, Brittney and Devin, were perfect. When you work with a real couple, there is always that element of natural chemistry that makes the photos so amazing, and these two shined as they modeled for us and had fun along the way. Brittney wore a beautiful off the shoulder wedding gown with a long veil, and then later changed into a satin jumpsuit. Devin rocked a light grey suit which matched the feel of a tropical wedding and made us all feel like we weren’t in the midwest anymore.
There was a popsicle cart, citrus and palm touches, and the white backdrops of the gorgeous Mojave East wedding venue helped everything pop and show up so well.
I truly am so grateful for the chance to photograph such a lovely wedding shoot, and getting to be creative with the flat lays, posing, and working with other photographers was just the best.
