When a couple suggests retracing their first date for their engagement session, I get really excited because I know we are going to be shooting at meaningful spots beyond just cool or pretty locations. Kate and Phil met me in Fletcher Place at Hotel Tango for our first stop, where they share drinks, told me about how he proposed (the smell of bacon was involved) and how they discovered a vintage ring at a sale which ended up becoming Kate’s engagement ring.
After that we meandered over to Bluebeard, a fabulous spot in Indy, where they love to frequent and got some great shots in front of their lovely patio. Next, we walked along to get some shots near another favorite spot of theirs, 12.05 Distillery, and finally snagged drinks at the Dugout Bar. The whole time, I felt so comfortable, like I was visiting with old friends, and Kate and Phil were so much fun to talk to and their stories were amazing.
Enjoy some of my favorite shots from their engagement session below! And, be sure to then check out their wedding day photos, too!
