This South Bend maternity session was so unique and fun! Shareen asked me to photograph her family last fall, and I was honored to work with her again for some maternity photos.
Maternity photos in their home
I loved that Shareen wanted to have maternity photos in her home with her family. Sometimes maternity sessions can be so stylized, which is really beautiful, but I love it when families choose their own space to take photos in as well. There is a comfort and connection in one’s own space that is really gorgeous.
We did a mix of family photos and solo shots of Shareen
Starting in the dining room on a gorgeous window bench, we captured some informal and posed shots of Shareen with her family. I made sure to do a mix so that we documented the connection of her family, as well as some posed photos. Then we moved in front of a gorgeous built-in cabinet for some portraits of the family as well as solo shots of Shareen.
We moved to a few areas of the home for maternity photos
After some dining room shots, we moved into the front living room with a piano for some fun family photos and maternity shots. I loved the unique décor and pieces in Shareen’s home, and it was such a lovely backdrop for these South Bend maternity photos.

Shareen is absolutely lovely to work with, as is her sweet family. I loved getting to photograph this part of her story in her home, and I look forward to meeting their new baby! Much love to this family as they prepare to become a family of four.
