A Styled Motherhood Session
I really wanted to keep the feel and focus of these motherhood photos on the connection between Hannah and her daughters, so I asked them to wear cream tones and go barefoot. With a little bit of styled direction, it helped me elevate their session into a styled session feel with real connection.
We did a mix of poses
Starting with a wooden chair and some fresh blooms, I mixed up the poses so Hannah could have a variety for their gallery. I brought in a fabric backdrop to really keep the focus on the girls and Hannah, and I prompted them with movement and also just documented their natural interactions.s

I’m so grateful to Hannah for allowing me to photograph her as a mama with her daughters. With Mother’s Day coming up, I wanted to document this special relationship in a way that focused on connection and emotion, and it was so beautiful.
