Theresa and Stuart’s wedding at St. John’s Catholic Church and The Oliver Mansion was such a beautiful day. With their closest family and friends celebrating them, their wedding was truly gorgeous, and an honor for us to photograph.
In the quiet of her home, Theresa got ready with her friends and family on the sunny morning of her wedding. The upstairs bedroom was a perfect backdrop for the gorgeous getting ready portraits. With simple, elegant details, Theresa’s look complimented her so well. With satin and lace details, everything about her wedding outfit was so beautiful.
Heading downstairs, her father got to see her all dressed and ready. He then drove her to St. John’s Catholic Church in Mishawaka in one of his vintage cars he owns. Blue was a theme of the day, and the blue of the car was perfect!
At Stuart’s home, he also got ready with his groomsmen. With his own elegant details, he looked sharp in his groom’s outfit. With some time to spare, we photographed his groom and groomsmen photos outside in the beautiful natural light.
One of the most stunning churches in downtown Mishawaka is St. John’s Catholic Church with it’s spire and gorgeous sanctuary. With a simple and beautiful Catholic ceremony surrounded by family, Theresa and Stuart saw one another for the first time in the beautiful aisle.
Moving through the sacred ceremony, they shared their vows and the marriage rites together.
After the ceremony we moved through family photos, then wedding party photos outside the church. The beautiful wooden doors made such a frame behind the groupings, and the sun made for such gorgeous light.
Moving to their reception venue at The Oliver Mansion in South Bend, we finished wedding party and couple photos around the gorgeous grounds and gardens. Theresa and Stuart have shared many evenings at events at The Oliver Mansion, and it’s a special place for them. The stunning backdrops of floral-filled garden walkways, towering trees, and ornate nooks made this venue so unique.
Guests made their way to the reception which included an elegant tented dinner party area, open-air bar and cocktail hour, as well as a cigar lounge for the lovers of a good cigar. With beautiful farmhouse and circle style table, wooden chairs, touches of blue, and a riot of colorful florals, this reception style was simply stunning.
A gourmet plated dinner was served by the amazing catering staff, and guests enjoyed dinner music and conversation over amazing food.
Theresa and Stuart had some toasts, danced, and then spent the rest of the evening visited each guest and dancing away the night.
This wedding at St. John’s Catholic church and The Oliver Mansion was so beautiful and what an honor to photograph! I wish Theresa and Stuart all the best!
