I’m a big fan of family sessions because my goal is to document connection over rigid posing. I love walking with families, seeing what the kids want to do, and being ready with my camera to capture the sweet in-between moments.
Yes, I love getting photos with everyone looking, but mostly I love the documenting of the connected moments.
New Buffalo Beach
For their family photos, Euan and Taylor wanted to do a beach session at New Buffalo since it’s a spot they like to visit and spend time. I love when families choose locations that are meaningful to them. New Buffalo Beach is one of my favorite spots for photos and it’s always such a beautiful location.
Sunset on the beach
Beach photos are so much fun and I usually recommend sunset or sunrise so the lighting is the best. We met in the evening, and it was so pretty near the water, watching the boats sail, and dipping toes into Lake Michigan. I absolutely loved this beach session at New Buffalo beach with such a beautiful family!
