This wedding at The Armory in South Bend was so amazing and full of so much intention and fun! Shelby and Brad are two of the most kind and chill humans. It was such an honor to photograph their wedding!
Getting Ready Photos at The Armory
Coverage began at The Armory where Shelby was getting ready. I worked to style her beautiful details, full of earthy colors and rose gold touches. Shelby got ready with her bridesmaids in the lovely bridal suite at The Armory, and Brad got ready at a nearby hotel.
After getting dressed, we got some individual portraits of the couple prior to their first look.
First look photos along the river
Just across the way from the Armory is a lovely riverfront walk, and Shelby and Brad chose to do their first look on some gorgeous stone steps by the water. It was such a beautiful setting for their first moments seeing each other. We did some additional portraits both outdoors and inside The Armory after their first look.
Wedding Party Photos at They Armory
Before heading to the church for the ceremony, we took full wedding party photos in front of The Armory, as well as Shelby and her bridesmaids, and Brad and his groomsmen. Finishing with a few more couple photos, the whole party got on the bus and made their way to the church!
A church ceremony
Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Shelby and Brad said their vows and exchanged rings in a sacred ceremony at their church. After the ceremony we took time for family photos while guests headed to the venue.
Wedding Party photos in South Bend
Shelby works for The History Museum, and Brad and Shelby appreciate architecture, so she selected a Historic Pump House in Leeper Park for some additional wedding party and couple photos. Finishing with some photos of just the couple at The History Museum grounds, we then headed back to The Armory for their reception.
A reception for this wedding at The Armory in South Bend
After guests enjoyed cocktail hour, the couple and wedding party made their entrances into the venue to get the reception started. With an epic first dance, welcome, blessing, dinner and toasts, the couple enjoyed all the lovely reception festivities. After cake cutting and parent dances, the open dancing started for guests to enjoy the night dancing away.
We finished with some couple photos in the lounge of the bar area at The Armory, and got a final shot of Shelby and Brad on the dance floor.
What an amazing wedding, and I loved working with this sweet couple for their wedding at The Armory in South Bend! All the happiness for them as they start their married life together!
