There’s something incredibly enchanting about a wedding at Dune Acres Clubhouse, and Luisa and Quinton’s day captured that magic perfectly. Surrounded by the quiet beauty of the Indiana Dunes National Park—towering pines, historic stone architecture, and sweeping lake views—their celebration felt like a blend of woodsy charm, summer whimsy, and heartfelt family moments.
Their style played beautifully with the landscape: soft summer pinks, airy florals, touches of lace, and vintage-inspired details that gave the entire day a warm, romantic atmosphere.
Both Luisa and Quinton spent the morning getting ready nearby with their closest people. The mood was relaxed, joyful, and full of those tender, in-between moments. Parents helping with final touches, siblings sharing laughs, and the kind of quiet anticipation that builds before vows are exchanged.
Luisa had her hair and makeup done on-site, surrounded by bridesmaids and family. Quinton prepared with his groomsmen, family, and longtime friends. Their decision to skip a first look added a beautiful sense of anticipation for the ceremony.
Ceremonies at Dune Acres Clubhouse always feel intimate, but theirs felt especially meaningful. With the woods as their backdrop and Lake Michigan Luisa and Quinton exchanged vows. Surrounded by their families, bridesmaids and groomsmen, and the soft glow of the summer afternoon.
One of the sweetest touches was a blessing read by their parents. It was a heartfelt moment that grounded the ceremony in family connection and tradition.
One of the highlights of a wedding at Dune Acres Clubhouse is the variety of beautiful photo locations. We spent time exploring the area around the venue, capturing candids, natural laughs, and the joy radiating from their wedding party.
Later, we slipped away for sunset portraits as the sun went down. The lakeshore delivered the perfect breeze and glow. These portraits felt dreamy and cinematic, with gentle waves and soft golden light setting the tone.
The reception inside the clubhouse was warm, lively, and full of personality. The wood interior, whimsical florals, and vintage touches gave the space a rustic-lodge feel that paired perfectly with their style.
Guests mingled during cocktail hour, dinner was served, and soon after, the dance floor opened and stayed full the rest of the night. The energy was joyful and celebratory—people laughing, dancing, hugging, and soaking in the magic of the evening.
What made this day so special wasn’t just the scenery, it was the meaning behind it. Luisa, an ocean enthusiast with a background in environmental science, and Quinton, active-duty Coast Guard, share a deep love for nature and the outdoors. Having their wedding in a national park felt like a natural extension of who they are as individuals and as a couple.
Their wedding at Dune Acres Clubhouse was the perfect combination of romance, whimsy, nature, and heartfelt connection—a day filled with joy, family, and the wild beauty of the Dunes.
