Warren Dunes Family Photos
There’s just something about mornings on the lake that feels magical. When the W Family reached out about doing Warren Dunes family photos, I knew it was going to be a special session. We started the morning at their lake house, where I got to meet their sweet dog (who obviously stole the show for a bit). I always love including pets in family sessions because it makes the photos feel that much more personal and true to everyday life.
Starting at the Lake House with the Family Pup
Before heading to the dunes, we kicked things off at the W Family’s lake house. Their dog was more than happy to be part of the photos, and it instantly made the session feel relaxed and fun. Including pets in family photos always adds that perfect candid touch.
Warren Dunes Family Photos in the Morning Light
Once we wrapped up at the house, we made our way to Warren Dunes State Park which is one of their favorite vacation spots. Since we scheduled an early morning session, the beach was practically ours. No crowds, cooler temps, and the softest golden light spilling across the sand. This is exactly why I love morning sessions for Warren Dunes family photos: they’re peaceful, beautiful, and stress-free.
A Blend of Classic and Candid Moments
Throughout the session, we mixed traditional posed shots with more candid, documentary-style moments. The W Family laughed, played, and enjoyed their time together while I captured a mix of both polished portraits and those in-between memories. That balance is what makes family photos so special since you end up with timeless images and also the little moments that really tell your story.
