There’s nothing I love more than a fall engagement session and Bryce and Cassidy’s evening at Cobus Creek Park reminded me exactly why. Crisp air, slow golden light, trees bursting into color—and a couple who fell so naturally into each other’s arms that documenting their connection felt effortless.
Cobus Creek Park is one of my favorite places this time of year, and it delivered everything we hoped for: winding trails, quiet water, and a canopy of fall foliage that practically glowed. Cassidy loves moody weather, so when the clouds rolled in and the sky softened, it felt like a dream made just for her.
If you’re planning a fall engagement session in Granger, Indiana, Cobus Creek Park is a gem. The trails give so many opportunities for movement—walking, twirling, running into each other’s arms—and Bryce and Cassidy leaned into every prompt with laughter and warmth.
We explored the wooded paths, stopped by the bridge for some cuddled-up moments, and let the wind play with their hair and clothes as the leaves drifted around them. These two are incredibly natural together, so I focused on lots of candid moments and movement-based prompts to capture how they genuinely interact.
As the sun dipped lower, something amazing happened: tiny flakes of snow began to fall—just enough to shimmer through the last minutes of their session. Only in the Midwest do you get fiery trees and the first dusting of winter on the same night.
For Cassidy, who adores moody, dramatic weather, the snowfall made the end of their fall engagement session in Granger, Indiana absolutely perfect. Bryce wrapped her up, they laughed, and we captured some of my favorite images of the night—warm skin tones contrasted against the cool air and swirling snow.
The combination of rich Autumn color, soft grey skies, and that unexpected snowfall created a truly cinematic backdrop for Bryce and Cassidy. Their energy was playful, romantic, and genuine, which made for a gallery full of candid, movement-filled images.
If you’re dreaming of your own fall engagement photos, Granger has so many incredible spots—and when the weather gives you a little extra magic like this, it becomes an unforgettable experience.
