I had the honor of working with Rebecca for a newborn session recently. Baby C was born at Christmastime, so I met up at their home for a winter newborn session just after the new year. It was such a lovely session, so calm and beautiful.
In home newborn photos
In home newborn sessions are some of my favorite photo sessions. I love coming to clients’ homes to help document welcoming a new little one into their family. Rebecca and her husband built a gorgeous home together, and every element in their space was so earthy, textured, and modern. I loved the light in their home and how many personal touches they had. We photographed in their living room, sitting room, main room, loft, and nursery. Each space was so gorgeous!
Solo photos of baby on a bison skin rug
After an elopement in the Tetons, the couple got a bison skin rug to bring home, and Rebecca suggested using it as a backdrop for Baby C’s photos by himself. I loved it so much, and it made such a cool, textured background for some of his portraits. Plus it fit the vibe for his winter newborn session and made it so cozy!
Family groupings during the newborn session
I love to photograph families during newborn sessions and get all the groupings. Each parent with baby, siblings with baby, the whole group, baby by themselves. It’s so nice to do a mix of posed and candid photos as well, and this session was so calm and beautiful, and I got so many good photos.
I loved photographing this cozy winter newborn session so much!
It’s always such an honor having newborn clients in front of my lens, and I loved Baby C’s session so much!
