Extended family photos in New Buffalo

I love working with families for photos, especially when a lovely bunch is on vacation. These extended family photos in New Buffalo were so much fun!

Lauren reached out to me about photographing her extended family when they all met up for vacation in New Buffalo, Michigan. We decided to just meet at the beach house where they were staying, and it was perfect due to the quiet and non-crowded beach below.

Large group photos and individual groupings

I love to photograph the entire group, and then get individual photos of smaller families and couples. This family was made up of so many lovely people, and it was so much fun photographing these family photos in New Buffalo.

Posed and Candid Photos

When I meet extended families, I love to do a mix of posed and candid photos. Of course we all love the images with everyone smiling at the camera, but I also love to get the in-between, candid photos as well. This family had so many fun little groupings, it was so much fun to photograph the groups and all the little candid moments too. I wish Lauren and her family the best and it was such an honor to photograph them!
