Bri and Joe met me at their home for their Fort Wayne Engagement Session recently, and it was such a lovely evening. I love working with couples for their engagement photos so much. It gives me an opportunity to meet them and have them in front of my lens before their wedding. Engagement sessions allow couples to feel more comfortable in front of the camera as well. I find that the couples I have been able to work with for engagement sessions are more comfortable on their wedding day and I absolutely love to see it.
A Nature Preserve in the backyard
When Bri and I were discussing their ideas for locations for engagement session, she mentioned that there was a literal nature preserve right in the backyard of their home. She sent me some photos and I was obsessed and thought it was the perfect spot. She and Joe wanted a natural backdrop, and their session took place in the fall, so it made a really lovely location.
Two outfits for this Fort Wayne Engagement Session
I always love to recommend two outfits for engagement sessions because it gives couples variety in their images. Bri and Joe chose a dressy look for the first outfit, with Bri in heels and a sweet white dress. For their second outfit, they changed into denim and sweater tops, and it gave them a cozy look for their photos. It’s always a fun idea to have two different feels for outfits. Try a casual and a dressy look to mix up your looks.
I loved working with this couple
The couples I have the honor of working with are so amazing, and Bri and Joe were no different. I’m absolutely excited to photograph their upcoming wedding at Bottleworks Hotel in Indianapolis next year!
