An Evening by Lake Michigan for these New Buffalo Beach Engagement Photos
We met at New Buffalo Beach on a beautiful, not-too-warm evening, just as the light was starting to turn golden. Abby looked incredible in a satin ivory dress that flowed so perfectly with the breeze, while Kamden kept it timeless in a crisp white shirt and grey slacks. Their look was simple, elegant, and so well-suited for the relaxed beach vibe.
Golden Light & Soft Waves
As we wandered along the shoreline, the sky started to put on a show. The golden light softened everything around us, and Lake Michigan felt calm and dreamy. Lake Michigan is one of my favorite places to take engagement photos. You feel like you’re not in the Midwest anymore, and it’s always so breathtaking! Shooting engagement photos during golden hour is always gorgeous, but this evening truly felt extra special.
An Epic Sunset to End the Session
Just when we thought the light couldn’t get any better, the sky turned into something epic with layers of orange, pink, and purple stretching over the lake. I kept saying “ok just one more!” since it was too beautiful to look away from! Abby and Kamden laughed together, walked barefoot in the sand, and soaked up every last bit of the evening. Those final moments, with the lake glowing behind them, made their engagement photos unforgettable.
