I’m getting back into the swing of blogging after being out of town and traveling quite a bit recently. Today I’m looking outside and it’s cloudy and cold, being that it’s February in central Indiana. 🙂 So it’s my pleasure to share this wedding from August, where the sun was shining and it was a beautiful summer day.
Rachel and Aaron are two of the kindest humans I’ve ever met and the first time we Face Timed to chat about me shooting their wedding, I knew they were going to be amazing to work with. They both are incredibly intentional, talented musicians, and have a deep love for each other and for those in their lives.
I always love to work with couples to shoot engagement photos prior to their wedding because it helps us connect, helps them get comfortable in front of the camera, and helps document this part of their story even more. Earlier last year, we met up for their beautiful Winona Lake engagement session, and you can find that post here.
Ok so their wedding day. What can I say – it was beautiful and amazing! My husband sometimes second shoots for me, and since this was an out of town wedding, he came along and we spent the whole weekend with Rachel and Aaron’s friends and family, celebrating alongside them, and it showed me why they are the people they are. Every single family member, friend, and guest was full of so much love and kindness and excitement, and it made my heart so big to see how loved this couple is.
And I know I say it a lot, but this couple chose so many intentional parts to their day that reflected them, and it’s one of my favorite things. Check-lists, and suggestions, and advice, and Pinterest boards aside, at the end of the day, you should have a wedding that is meaningful to *you* and reflective of *you* and that’s exactly what they did. From a prayer and exchanging of notes without seeing each other, to the song they sang together at their ceremony, to the little details in decor, to the wedding flowers, to the outdoor ceremon site, to the barn wedding reception, it all was so incredible.
I’m so grateful for being able to help document these stories of amazing people during such beautiful times in their lives. Please enjoy looking through the photos of this gorgeous southern Indiana wedding below!
