Be sure to click here to check out part one of Deanna and Niral’s wedding at the Century Center in South Bend! I loved getting to be a part of this incredible wedding day, and there were so many beautiful elements. After their Indian wedding ceremony, Deanna and Niral and their family changed and made their way outdoors to Island Park.
A western wedding ceremony on the Island Park
After a break and an outfit change, a second ceremony to honor Deanna’s traditions took place, with her childhood pastor officiating a ceremony in the western tradition. The gorgeous setting at Island Park was perfect for this simple and intentional ceremony outdoors. The sun came out, and the breeze blew softly for their spring wedding ceremony. Deanna wore a beautiful, flowy dress by Jenny Yoo NYC and Niral wore a blue suit with a floral tie. Deanna’s sister stood up with her, and Niral’s sister stood up with him, the best people at their wedding ceremony.
We had some sun for couple photos on the pier
Directly after the ceremony, we moved into family photos and then couple photos while guests enjoyed cocktails. There is a beautiful pier that connects to the ceremony site and Pier Park, and we stepped there for some gorgeous shots with part of the South Bend skyline behind. Deanna was able to toss her skirt for some fun dress shots, and this couple just had fun for a few minutes together.
A wedding reception at Century Center
While I was photographing the couple photos, my second shooter, Landon, was photographing the beautiful details of florals and decor by Merry Me Events. Teal and purple and gold filled the space, and the tables were set in the beautiful Grand Hall of the Century Center, surrounding a dance floor.
The couple was announced in after their immediate family to cheers from their guests, and after a welcome, dinner proceeded with incredibly delicious buffets of a mix of Indian and western food dishes.
Along with some traditional dances and toasts, the couple cut the cake made by Pink Lemonade Pastries, and the cake was so, so amazing, with three different kinds to choose from.
Dancing commenced, with so many lively songs and the guests all enjoyed the festivities. They also did a traditional Indian dance, and taught those who weren’t familiar with the tradition how to use wooden sticks in the dance and it was so fun to watch and photograph.
Finishing out our photo time, Niral’s cousins put together a flash mob dance and it was so full of energy and fun and so entertaining for the guests and the couple! I loved everything about this wedding weekend so much, and felt so honored to be present for their day.
Deanna and Niral, I hope you enjoy the photos from your wedding weekend, and I’m so grateful for you. Cheers!!
