Luke and Kristin chose to have their wedding at Daniel’s Vineyard, and it was such a beautiful location! I loved getting to document their lovely September wedding day surrounded by their friends and family.
Daniel’s Vineyard is a lovely venue
This was the first time I had the honor of photographing at Daniel’s Vineyard, and I loved this venue so much! Located Northeast of Indianapolis, nestled in the countryside, this venue is a one-stop shop for beautiful weddings. Rolling hills of vines create a gorgeous landscape, and the outdoor ceremony site is perfect for wedding celebrations. The grounds offer many spots for photos as well.
Luke and Kristin shared an intimate first look
Luke and Kristin chose to have a first look for their wedding day, something I love so much. First looks offer a chance to see one another in a more private and intimate setting, before the big aisle moment happens. With the privacy of some landscaping and shrubs, Luke and Kristin shared their first look near their ceremony site, but away from the crowds.
Wedding party photos and couple photos
After their first look, we moved into wedding party photos. Luke’s attendants wore navy outfits to match his own, and Kristin’s attendants wore sage green dresses that complimented the blue so well. Kristin’s dress was decorated with ornate lace details, and her sweetheart veil was the perfect final touch along with her floral headpiece. Getting a variety of wedding party and couple photos prior to the ceremony allowed Luke and Kristin and their attendants to enjoy the post-ceremony time with cocktails and guests.
Their outdoor ceremony was lovely
Since it was a gorgeous September day, Luke and Kristin opted for an outdoor ceremony, which was so beautiful. With a simple wooden centerpiece and floral arrangement, and set against the backdrop of trees and the vineyard, Luke and Kristin shared their vows together. They chose to plant a tree as their unity portion of the ceremony, something I absolutely loved to see.
Family photos and cocktail hour
Cocktail hour began with signature mango slushies for all, and we moved through family photos at their outdoor ceremony site with the gorgeous late afternoon light. Their reception details were beautiful in the upstairs reception room at Daniel’s Vineyard, and guests mingled indoors and out on the balcony.
Their reception was full of dancing and fun
After a delicious gourmet buffet dinner, formalities and toasts, the dancing began and the party was started! It was a lively dance party, and full of so many fun photo opportunities! Luke and Kristin danced and visited with guests, had some shots with friends, and Kristin even broke out a custom leather jacket for the evening.
Finishing the night with a sparkler send-off, the couple ended their party with sparkler-filled goodbyes.
