For these engagement photos at Cobus Creek park, I met Caroline and Ashton on a beautiful fall evening. These two are planning their Winter 2024 wedding, and it was so nice meeting them and photographing this sweet session.
We met at Cobus Creek Park
Cobus Creek Park is one of my favorite locations for sessions, with gorgeous backdrops in every spot. Caroline and Ashton wore some cozy casual outfits, and we started the session in the Sensory Garden at Cobus Creek. Since Ashton is a lot taller than Caroline, we did a mix of standing and sitting shots.
They met as kids
I love hearing about how couples meet, and these two had such a cute story. Caroline and Ashton met in grade school, and Ashton was Caroline’s 3rd grade sweetheart. They officially started dating in highschool, and they’ve been together ever since.
I can always tell during engagement sessions when couples have a longer history together, and it’s so beautiful. Young love is so sweet, but also the couples who have been together have a really deep element to their connection.

Ashton about Caroline: “What drew me to Caroline was her infectious spirit and laugh, she could always make those around her laugh. I love Caroline’s motivation and how driven she is. I love her sense of humor. I love how passionate she is about what is important to her and she will defend those things with vigor. I love how committed she is to us even during our hardest times.”
