Ok, so when Elizabeth and Caleb booked me for their wedding, I got so incredibly excited. They were super excited and expressed how much they wanted to work together. We hopped on a call after we got all the booking squared away, and I just grinned the whole time. Talking to them was like talking with old friends. We hit it off immediately, and hearing about them and their wedding, the things they loved – it all made me so pumped to work with such dream clients.
We got their engagement session scheduled, and decided to meet halfway between where they live in Ohio and Indy, so we met in Caleb’s old stomping grounds of Richmond, Indiana. They loved the idea of Hayes Arboretum, so we started there with some gorgeous Indiana backdrop. Elizabeth and I geeked out with each other talking about our shared love of Girl of The Limberlost (if you don’t know it, you’re missing out!) And Caleb helped figure out my dumb bluetooth speaker so we could finally get the music they had picked out playing out loud.
We bumped around the gorgeous wooded backdrops, then finished the session at Roscoe’s Coffee and surrounding streets in the Depot District. (Fun fact I learned that night: Nitro Cold Brew coffee is apparently stronger than espresso, so that was super fun drinking it at 6pm! Haha!!) The sun was pretty perfect, and we stretched out their session a bit long because I literally lost track of time having so much fun with them.
Watching them interact: Elizabeth’s funny and engaging humor mixed with Caleb’s quiet and equally funny personality made for such an amazing session. Again, what an honor I had photographing a couple deciding to spend their lives together, and it makes me SO excited for their wedding next spring!
These two are gold, and I feel so lucky I get to work with them.
Enjoy some of my favorite images from their session below!
