Whitney & JJ: A Wedding at Wild Blackberry Farms

This Wedding at Wild Blackberry Farms was so incredible and so beautiful! I loved working with not only an amazing couple, but an incredible vendor team as well. Spring weddings in Indiana are so gorgeous, and this wedding on a blackberry farm was stunning!

Whitney and JJ chose a stunning venue for their spring wedding day

Whitney and JJ chose such a gorgeous spot for their May wedding. Wild Blackberry Farms is nestled in the countryside just outside of Fortville, Indiana and offers a perfect setting for a wedding. The stunning white barn, wide patio with string lights, and amazing blackberry fields make a lovely backdrop for any wedding celebration. When I had Whitney and JJ’s for their consultation, I loved hearing about the venue they chose. All of the festivities happened on site, from getting ready and details, to the very end of our coverage time with them. It’s so fun when we get to shoot a wedding all at one location!

Miranda of Thoughtfully Designed Co. was the incredible planner and coordinator for the couple, as well as their designer. So many beautiful touches in the decor, florals, and design were present, and thanks to the incredible team, the day went so smoothly. I personally love getting to work weddings with a planner present. The details and organization are always amazing, and the couple truly gets to be present and feel so comfortable because they have hired an amazing planner to take care of any details and issues that arise.

This wedding at Wild Blackberry Farms was everything a spring wedding should be

Spring weddings in Indiana are some of my absolute favorites! The colors are gorgeous, the trees are starting to leaf, and the light is really beautiful. Whitney chose pale pinks and pastel tones for her wedding bouquet, which looked so stunning against her white flowy wedding dress with lace touches. JJ wore a sharp dark gray suit with a white satin vest and tie, while his groomsmen wore pastel pink satin vests for their suits. Whitney’s bridesmaids looked gorgeous in their sage green bridesmaid dresses.

The barn at Wild Blackberry Farms allowed for some shady photo spots, since we lucked out with a beautiful sunny May day in Indiana. Along with the blackberry fields, gravel path, and black fence-lined fields for the horses and goats, this venue allowed for so many amazing photos.

Their outdoor ceremony was so gorgeous and cocktail hour on the patio was perfect

Guests gathered on wooden pews laid outside with a wooden triangle centerpiece, and Whitney and JJ said their vows and exchanged their rings with the blackberry fields behind them. Family and friends were present to support and cheer the couple on as they wed, and the party started with drinks on the patio with the cool breeze.

We took large family photo groupings, then made sure to get Whitney and JJ back into their cocktail hour before being announced in for their reception entrance.

Whitney and JJ’s reception included BBQ, donuts, dancing and yard games

Nameless Catering Co. provided a stunning spread for Whitney and JJ’s wedding dinner, and guests (and Landon and I) enjoyed the amazing meal with pulled pork and brisket, among some other amazing dishes. Their cake and donuts were provided by Sunrise Bakery in Fortville, Indiana.

After some dancing and drinks, bouquet toss and garter toss, guests mingled and enjoyed the yard games at Wild Blackberry Farms while we took the couple out for some sunset photos on the grounds. Finishing off the evening with some sparkler exit photos, we said goodbye to our amazing couple.

Whitney and JJ: I’m so happy for you as you celebrate being newlyweds! You two are so kind and thoughtful, and I loved everything about your wedding day! Enjoy these photos!
