Jordan and Nolan had a gorgeous wedding at Venue 3 Two in Kentwood, Michigan this September. Their classic and modern details contrasted so nicely with the historic mansion venue they chose for their beautiful celebration.
A 1920’s estate was the setting for their wedding
Located at Shaffer and 32nd street in Kentwood, Michigan, Venue 3 Two is a gorgeously renovated 1920s home with so much unique character and charm. Jordan and Nolan had a dinner party vision for their wedding, and this venue was the perfect spot. With a gorgeous brick exterior, a slate patio in the back, with beautiful spaces throughout, this venue was one of my favorites!
A first look in the foyer
Venue 3 Two has a gorgeous tiled foyer with a curving staircase, and it was a perfect spot for Jordan and Nolan’s first look. Since it was raining a bit on their wedding day, we moved some photos indoors to keep them dry, and the venue was full of perfect photo spots. Jordan and Nolan shared a sweet and simple first look in the foyer before moving into couple photos in the reception hall space. With three full walls of windows, the hall was a really lovely spot for their indoor ceremony and photos.
A copper and floral decorated backdrop for their ceremony
Set against the windows of the reception hall, with the fall foliage behind them, Jordan and Nolan’s ceremony backdrop included a copper pipe centerpiece decorated with the most beautiful fall flowers. Jordan wore a chic white strappy dress, and Nolan wore a classy black tux for their outfits. The groomsmen looked sharp in their matching black tuxedos, and the bridesmaids stunned in copper satin bridesmaid dresses.
Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres before dinner
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while mingling with the bride and groom prior to dinner beginning. With gourmet bites and delicious drinks flowing, the guests enjoyed chatting in the cocktail room, as well as outdoors on the patio.
Wedding party and couple photos outside
Since the rain let up and the sun came out, we made our way out to the stunning front of Venue 3 Two for wedding party and couple photos in the natural light. The tan brick exterior of the venue made such a great backdrop for the colors of the wedding party. Jordan and Nolan’s modern, classy style went so perfectly with the vibe of the venue, and I absolutely loved how their photos turned out.
Dinner, Dancing, & Toasts
The reception details included custom black and white escort cards, floral centerpieces to match Jordan’s wedding bouquet, and dinner was a plated gourmet affair. After dinner, the couple received toasts from the maid of honor and best man, and proceeded with their first dance, parent dances, and then open dancing with guests. They had a lovely party with so many beautiful details.
Sneaking out for just a few sunset shots, Jordan and Nolan looked so happy together on the evening of their wedding. It was such an honor working with this beautiful and warm couple. I enjoyed their wedding at Venue 3 Two in Kentwood, Michigan so much and I wish them all the happy moments as they settle into newlywed life.
