These sunrise family photos in Carmel, Indiana were so much fun. I absolutely loved this twist on a typical family session, and was so grateful for Teresa suggesting it. I’ve had the honor of working with this family for a few years, and every time makes me so happy.

It’s not a surprise that sunrise and sunset lighting is simply lovely, especially here in the midwest. When clients are open to sunrise photos, I get really excited because I know we’ll have really nice light, and that’s just what happened with this session. We met at a parking garage rooftop in downtown Carmel, Indiana and shot at a few lovely spots up there.

They love taking photos of their growing family

Teresa is really intentional about getting family photos taken for different milestones to document their growing family. When I first started working with them, their daughter was really small, and now I have the honor of photographing their family of four and seeing how they’ve grown! It’s so special giving this experience to clients and witnessing it alongside them.

We got creative for their photos

In addition to a creative location, we also got creative with family poses. Teresa told me to get as creative with them as I wanted, so I played with composition and perspective changes. I loved how this session turned out, and the freedom to be creative was so inspiring.
