These in home engagement photos in Indianapolis was so much fun. I love it when clients want to shoot in their own space, and Cody and Genny had the cutest house in Bates-Hendricks, a historic neighborhood in Indianapolis.
They had some fur babies join
Another thing I’m a fan of is adding in fur babies to engagement sessions! Genny and Cody share two cats together, and they made some sweet appearances during the session. We began the session in their living room, and the couple snuggled up on the couch together and in front of their charming fireplace. Genny loved the stained glass window feature in their home, so we made sure to get some shots with it peeking in the corner.
Genny and Cody share love of beer
Sharing a love of beer and visiting breweries, they have collected growlers from the breweries they have visited together. So of course we needed to get some shots of them doing a cheers with their drinks, and they got cozy in their kitchen and dining room. I loved their home so much. It had so many sweet items that gave me a peek into who they are as individuals. This in home engagement session in Indianapolis was gorgeous, and I highly recommend planning part of your session at your home!
They also share a love of soccer
Genny and Cody also love and play soccer, so we headed to their local park to get some shots of them in their custom jerseys, as they kicked the ball around a bit. Garfield Park was stunning with some fall foliage, and it was fun to get outside for a bit! For their honeymoon, they’ll be attending the Women’s world cup games in New Zealand and Australia next year! How fun!!

When Genny and Cody bought their home, Cody proposed to Genny on the front steps, so we made sure to get some shots in the same spot. They shared some fun moments on the porch swing and I enjoyed photographing them in the place they are making their home.
