Marina and Albert wanted snowy winter engagement photos
After the brewery from the first part of their session, we made our way to Valparaiso for some snowy photos at Gabis Arboretum. It was the perfect location for the winter look they wanted for some of their photos. Even though it was freezing, Marina and Albert braved the cold to get some cozy photos.
They brought their dog, Ozzy to the session
Marina and Albert share a dog, Ozzy, and Albert’s parents brought him to Gabis Arboretum for some photos with his mom and dad. I absolutely love it when couples bring their dogs to sessions, and Ozzy had the best personality for the location.
We got shots with Ozzy sitting between Marina and Albert, walking with them, and giving them licks. He was such a sweet addition to their Gabis Arboretum engagement session.
I loved hearing how they got engaged
I always love hearing from couples the story of how they got engaged! Every couple has a unique and lovely story!
Here is their story in Marin’s words:
“Albert proposed! Albert’s family has a cottage in northern Wisconsin. We love going up there especially in the fall for the leaves changing colors. The two of us plus Ozzy took a trip up there. Albert had a scavenger hunt set up for me that eventually led me to the fire place to tell Ozzy to sit and read his new dog tag that said “Will you marry my dad?” on it. It was unintentionally the weekend of Sweetest day.”
Marina and Albert are so sweet on each other
One of the things I love most about engagement sessions, is seeing the chemistry between couples. It always makes me so happy. I love to hear why each partner loves the other too, and loved their answers:
Marina said “I love how genuine of a person of a person Albert is. He will try to always go above and beyond for the people he loves. I love how excited he gets whenever he gets to cook something new. Our humor is so much alike that it makes it so easy and fun to joke around with him. I love that Albert is someone I can lay around and watch sports games with and be competitive with but at the same time not take it seriously. His smile is my absolute favorite of him that I love.”
Albert said “I love how Marina is such a loving, caring, and comforting person. I love how I can just be myself around Marina. When I’m with her, I feel like nothing can go wrong and everything will be ok. I love that she makes me laugh, even when I don’t want to. I love that she pretends to love sports and loves to play them as much as I do just so we can spend more time together. Hearing her laugh is one of my favorite sounds and instantly puts me in a better mood. I love that it doesn’t matter what the adventure would be, she would always be at my side ready to take it on together just so I don’t have to do it alone.”
This Gabis Arboretum engagement session was such a fun one!
It was so much fun meeting and photographing Albert and Marina! I can’t wait for their amazing wedding day!
