A Wedding at Lakeside Occasions

Kendall and Ben had the loveliest wedding at Lakeside Occasions in Topeka, Indiana and it was such a beautiful day. I loved getting to document their gorgeous fall wedding day surrounded by their friends and family.

Lakeside Occasions is a lovely venue

This was the first time I had the honor of photographing at Lakeside Occasions, and I loved this venue so much! Located in Northern Indiana near the town of Topeka, nestled in the countryside, this venue is a one-stop shop for beautiful weddings. A beautiful rustic barn setting, with outdoor space and waterfront views, the venue was a really lovely location for Ben and Kendall’s wedding. The grounds offer many spots for photos as well.

Kendall and Ben shared a no-see first look

Ben and Kendall chose to have a no-see first look, an option some couples choose when they prefer not to see one another prior to their wedding ceremony. We set them up back to back, and they had a few quiet moments together, prayed together, and we photographed the moment as well. It’s a great option for still getting some pre-ceremony photos without doing a first look.

Their outdoor ceremony was lovely

Since it was a gorgeous fall day, Ben and Kendall opted for an outdoor ceremony, which was so beautiful. With simple wooden touches against the backdrop of the chapel exterior of the wedding ceremony structure at lakeside occasions, Ben and Kendall shared their vows together. Their family came up to surround them with love and prayer as they celebrated their wedding ceremony, and it was such a beautiful moment.

Wedding party photos and couple photos

After their ceremony and family photos, we moved into wedding party and couple photos. Ben’s groomsmen wore navy suits and maroon ties to match his own, and Kendall’s bridesmaids wore maroon dresses that complimented the blue so well. Kendall’s dress was decorated with ornate lace details, and her long veil was the perfect final touch for her hair. Getting a variety of wedding party and couple photos in multiple spots around Lakeside Occasions gave the couple lots of options for photos to choose from.

Their reception was full of dancing and fun

After a delicious bbq buffet dinner, formalities and toasts, the dancing began and the party was started! It was a lively dance party, and full of so many fun photo opportunities! Ben and Kendall danced and visited with guests, and then shared a private last dance before their sparkler send-off.

Sunset Photos to finish their wedding

Ben and Kendall decided to end their coverage with some sunset photos as their guests left the wedding. This was such a unique and fun way to finish coverage with a couple, and I loved getting to spend some time with them in the gorgeous evening light without feeling rushed to get them back into their party.

These two are such kind and amazing people, and I loved photographing their wedding at Lakeside Occasions so much! Many wishes for years of happiness to Ben and Kendall!
