For their South Bend engagement session, I met Kendall and Ben near the Morris Performing Arts Center recently. Ben had just proposed to Kendall the evening prior, oh my word! We were able to plan for a quick engagement session so they could announce their engagement to friends! I was so thrilled to be able to photograph this amazing couple!
Kendall and Ben’s South Bend Engagement Session was perfect for announcement photos
Ben called me up to let me know when he was going to propose. Heasked if we could plan an engagement session soon after since Kendall was heading away on a girls’ trip. I was so glad we were able to photograph their engagement session only a day after their engagement! The downtown South Bend area was a convenient spot for all of us. So we agreed to meet at some fun spots near the Morris Performing Arts Center.
Even though it was chilly, we walked around and got some great shots
On par with many Indiana engagement sessions, we dealt with some unpredictable weather. It turned out to be a slightly chilly and breezy day. That didn’t stop us though! We managed to find some tucked away spots and beautiful urban scenes for their South Bend engagement session. I love all of the city vibes for engagement sessions. Downtown areas often have so many beautiful backdrops for photos.
They met in their homeschool co-op as teens and their friendship grew into a beautiful relationship together
I loved getting to hear about their relationship and how they met! Kendall and Ben were both homeschool students attending the same co-op and met one another as students. This warmed my heart since I was also homeschooled as a kid, and I met my husband when we were both teenagers. Those stories always make me smile so big!
Now, Kendall and Ben are planning a fall wedding together. They are also in the process of purchasing their first home, and I can tell they are just so in love and excited to build their new life together!
Cheers to you both! I hope you enjoy the photos from your engagement session, and I can’t wait to photograph your wedding this fall!
