Ben and Kendall’s Silver Beach engagement session was so dreamy! We met at the location Ben proposed earlier this year and I had the honor of photographing this lovely couple. We had the best weather, and watched the sailboats coming in for sunset on the water.
This was actually their second engagement session!
It’s not always that I get to photograph two engagement sessions for the SAME couple! But I had the lovely treat of photographing Ben and Kendall twice this year. The first session, you can see that blog post here, took place the day after Ben proposed. They wanted some announcement photos, so we planned an engagement session in downtown South Bend, Indiana.
They chose a Silver Beach engagement session for their second location
Ben proposed to Kendall on the pier at Silver Beach this spring, so it made sense to photograph some engagement photos for them at the same spot! The water was so pretty, and it was fun seeing the sailboats coming in. Ben and Kendall were so comfortable with one another, and they even made the comment that this second session felt even more comfortable in front of the camera. I LOVE to hear this! And it’s another reason why I love offering engagement sessions to my couples.
We walked around Silver Beach for a variety of locations
Silver Beach is so beautiful, and the sunset was perfect for our session. We got photos on the pier, on a sandy path with trees, along the beach, and even at a splash pad area in the front of the park. I loved all the different backdrops to give their engagement photos some lovely variety.
I took some video of their session and made a short highlight film
I’m beginning to play more with video during sessions, and Ben and Kendall let me get creative for their Silver Beach engagement session. You can see the little film I put together here!
