Alyssa and Troy had a lovely wedding at Industry in Indianapolis recently, and it was such a beautiful day! These two are obviously so in love, and their family and friends love them so much as well. Their day was full of joy and fun, and what an honor it was to photograph!
They each got ready at an Airbnb
Airbnb homes can make great getting ready locations for couples who are not local to their wedding location. Airbnb homes are also great if their own home isn’t an option. Alyssa and Troy chose to get ready at Airbnb homes, and it was a great setting for photos of those final details before they got dressed with their attendants. After getting dressed, we made our way to their venue for the first look.
A first look at Industry
Industry in Indianapolis is a modern industrial venue, full of exposed brick, touches of wood, and plenty of natural light. Alyssa and Troy chose to do their first look at Industry. We caught their reactions as the large sliding doors opened to reveal their wedding looks. Alyssa wore a cream dress with embroidered details and an ornate veil with embroidered details on the edges. Troy wore a blue three piece suite with custom monogrammed cuffs and a floral style tie. Their first look was so sweet, and they were so happy to see one another!
Wedding party and couple photos at Newfields
We made our way to Newfields to quickly get wedding party and couple photos before their ceremony. Newfields has some lovely spots for photos, and we chose a bridge location and a second location along their many walkways for photos. The bridesmaids had the most lovely coral satin gowns, and the groomsmen wore matching blue suits to the groom. The colors and setting were so lovely.
Their ceremony at Industry was meaningful and sweet
It was obvious that Alyssa and Troy put a lot of intention into their ceremony, including a friend to officiate, hugs for each attendant from Troy, and Alyssa being walked down the aisle by both her sweet mom and dad. The flower children were adorable as they made their way down the aisle. One little guy got pulled down the aisle in a cute wagon!
Alyssa and Troy said their vows and exchanged rings, and after their first kiss, they stopped midway back up the aisle for a kiss and it was such a fun shot to photograph.
Family photos and cocktail hour
Cocktail hour began with a signature margarita drink in honor of Alyssa and Troy’s cat, Neville. Guests mingled in the gorgeous Industry space while we photographed family photos and just a few more wedding party shots outside. The table settings were so lovely with simple touches of eucalyptus, floating candles, and glass table numbers.
Their reception included a taco bar and a champagne tower
Alyssa and Troy chose a incredibly delicious taco bar to serve their guests dinner, and all of the amazing touches were so good and tasty! After dinner, the couple did a champagne tower in lieu of cake cutting, which was so lovely to photograph! Their family and friends toasted them with kind words and love, and they danced with each other and their parents before open dancing began.
Sneaking out for just a few sunset shots, Alyssa and Troy looked so happy together on the evening of their wedding. They are so comfortable with each other and so perfect together.
The final touch of our photo coverage was photographing a surprise DJ moment where Alyssa and Troy wore neon glasses and passed out glow sticks and DJ’d a dance song for their guests in the midst of some smoke machine action. With a fun final shot of their complimenting glasses and the party in the background, we said our goodbyes and they continued the party into the night.
Alyssa and Troy: you two are SO much fun and some of the most kind humans. I wish you every single happiness as you begin your married life together!
