This elopement at Parlor Public House in Indianapolis was so beautiful. Despi and James created such a unique and stunning wedding celebration that was so meaningful.
They visited with guests prior to the ceremony
Guests arrived to the stunning space at Parlor Public House and enjoyed cocktails and drinks. There was a sprawling charcuterie board full of amazing eats and treats, and Despi and James mingled together with their guests, enjoying a relaxed and chill atmosphere. I love seeing when couples choose a non-traditional approach to their wedding day. Despi and James were so intentional about every aspect of their day and made it so unique to them!
Guests joined to witness the intentional ceremony
A Singing Bowl musician played the bowls to gather guests, and Despi and James walked through the gathered friends and family to join hands at their ceremony site. The officiant walked through a ceremony with varied traditions and rituals, and told their story throughout the ceremony. Vows and blessings and candles sprinkled their ceremony, and as they proceeded out, the guests chanted a blessing over the couple.
They played a guitar duet together
Since they became close over guitar lessons as they began their relationship, it was fitting that they performed a guitar song for their guests. They played and sang The Book of Love, and it was so beautiful to witness. I love that they did something so unique for their reception! Guests gathered to watch, then a toast was given by their dear friend and colleague, with everyone raising a glass to celebrate.
We finished their coverage with couple photos outside
After the formalities, we went outside for some stunning couple photos around the exterior spaces of Parlor Public House. Despi wore a black, jeweled gown, and James wore a black suit and tie. This couple was so amazing, and I loved the custom approach they took to their whole wedding celebration.
I’m so grateful for all of my couples, and this couple was no different. Despi and James, I wish you all the happiness as you celebrate your new married journey together.
