I absolutely loved Veronica and Andrew’s engagement photos at Warren Sand Dunes. This location was especially meaningful to them, and it was so much fun getting to photograph them in such a beautiful and intentional spot. Lake Michigan is so stunning and such a beautiful setting for photos.
They shared their first date and first kiss at Warren Sand Dunes State Park
Veronica suggested engagement photos at Warren Sand Dunes State Park since that’s where she and Andrew shared some special moments. They had their first date there, and that’s where they also shared their first kiss. I asked them to show me the spot, and we got some photos right where it all started.
The beach and dunes made a beautiful setting for photos
I’m still in awe every time I travel to Lake Michigan for leisure or work. It’s such a stunning location and I’m in love with the views of the water, the colors, and the variety in backdrops. To start their engagement photos at Warren Sand Dunes, we walked on a sandy dune path with trees in and grass all around. The colors were amazing and complemented their first outfit so well. For their second outfit, we walked down to the water, and they even got adventurous and played in the water for some shots.
They’ve known each other a long time
After meeting when Veronica was in 8th grade, and keeping in touch off and on for years, they connected again. They both worked at a summer camp together, and that’s where they’ve chosen to get married! I loved hearing how they met, and I always notice that couples who have known each other a long time have such a beautiful comfortable way about their relationship. Veronica and Andrew were so sweet together.
Veronica’s ring was a teardrop diamond studded beauty
Of course I always love seeing engagement rings, and Veronica’s was so lovely. The teardrop style was so unique and gorgeous. Andrew did such a great job picking it out!
We spent the evening exploring the beach and keeping their engagement photos relaxed
I love keeping engagement sessions relaxed and fun, from the posing prompts to location. Veronica and Andrew were simply amazing to work with and I felt like it was so easy to connect with them during their session. We had so much fun going around the dunes and the beach, listening to music during the session, and talking more about the fall wedding they are planning.
