Kate & Phil: An In-Home Session in Indianapolis Indiana

This in-home session in Indianapolis Indiana was really amazing and I loved getting to spend the morning with Kate and Phil in their beautiful home.

Kate and Phil are past clients

My heart fills up so much when I get to photograph past clients. The connection is there and I love seeing how their lives change and grow. I was able to photograph Kate and Phil’s engagement session and wedding, and they asked me to come to their home in Indianapolis to photograph them for their one year anniversary.

Kate got pastries and they enjoyed coffee together

There were pastries from Amelia’s, a local Indy bakery, and Kate and Phil had coffee at their kitchen bar area. Their lovely and sweet dog, Hazel was present, and came in and out of shots with them. I loved how comfortable they were with one another as they enjoyed some everyday activities for photos.

They love playing games, so they pulled out Yahtzee

At their dining room table, Kate and Phil love playing games, so they pulled out Yahtzee and enjoyed playing together for a bit for photos. Their dynamic as a couple is just so much fun, and you can see from photos how much they are enjoying one another. I love it when couples pick and activity to do for photos. It makes the experience feel more like a snapshot into their story, something I love to document.

The backyard made a nice spot for photos and they had a vintage Mercedes

Kate and Phil showed me their backyard and it was such a nice spot for some photos outside with Hazel. They had just recently purchased an old Mercedes convertible, so we made sure to get some fun photos of them in the baby blue car.

Their in-home session in Indianapolis made my heart so full

When a client trusts me fully to photograph them in their own space, it truly makes my heart feel so full. I got to photograph them nearly a year after their wedding, and we even got a shot of them toasting with bourbon from their wedding day.
