Makayla and Colton’s wedding at Neidhammer in Indianapolis was so beautiful. I felt so honored to be a part of their wedding day, and help document such a stunning celebration.
Modern and minimal described their décor and style
Makayla and Colton put a lot of thought into the style of their wedding. Choosing the classy venue of Neidhammer, as well as the modern Hotel Alexander for getting ready, set them up for beautiful spaces and locations. Black and white, with touches of pearl and baby’s breath were sprinkled throughout their decor and style for the day.
Makayla wore a strapless modern satin dress with structure
Makayla’s whole wedding look was amazing. She stunned in a pearl-studded chiffon robe, with matching Mrs slippers for her getting ready look. Her bridesmaids had matching black satin robes, and we got some lovely getting ready shots with champagne and cheers photos.
With her loved ones helping her dress, Makayla wore a stunning modern strapless gown with a gorgeous button-studded back and asymmetric neckline. Her hair was in a classic long style, with a part in the middle and mini pearls creating a headband look.
With her gold-touched wedding jewelry, Makalya was a picture of a glamorous and classy bride.
Colton got ready with his groomsmen
Colton spent the morning hanging out with his friends and groomsmen, and had some details for us to style, including a keepsake watch, his day of cologne, and a velvet black bowtie.
His look included a gorgeous black tuxedo, gold cufflinks, and custom embroidered monograms on his cuffs. Surrounded by his best friends and family, Colton prepared to meet Makalya for their first look.
A first look at Hotel Alexander
Choosing the stunning Hotel Alexander for their accommodations and getting ready location, the bride and groom couldn’t have chosen a more perfect space. The Hotel Alexander has so many gorgeous spaces inside and out, a true piece of artwork in and of itself.
For the couple’s first look, we selected the bar space with beautiful natural light, colorful stained glass pendants, and touches of wood. It was such a sweet moment as we documented the emotion and look they both had at seeing each other dressed. Finishing up with some couple photos on the balcony made this part of their day so beautiful.
Wedding Party and Couple Photos in the Courtyard
Using the hotel courtyard as a backdrop, we documented wedding party and couple photos in the balmy January sunlight. The bridesmaids wore black velvet gowns with white fur shrugs to help with any chill. The groomsmen wore matching tuxedos, and looked so sharp against the modern backdrop of the hotel.
A wedding at Neidhammer
Traveling to the amazing venue, Makayla and Colton and their wedding party arrived for their wedding at Neidhammer. This historic, three story building makes such a beautiful and unique locations for weddings in Indianapolis.
Guests gathered on the second floor and the family, wedding party, and couple walked down a beautiful white aisle runner as guests cheered them on and celebrated with them.
Makalya was walked down with her father, carrying her stunning bouquet of roses and baby’s breath. She and Colton shared their vows and rings and a first kiss amidst the celebration from their guests.
Cocktail hour in the coffee shop
Once family photos wrapped up, the couple joined guests for champagne and cocktails in the lower level of Neidhammer, which functions as a coffee shop during the day. The space was perfect for a lounge-like feel for cocktail hour. Guests got to mingle, and the couple was able to visit as well while the staff put the last minute touches on the reception space upstairs.
Dinner, Toasts, and Dancing
The party moved upstairs to Neidhammer’s third floor for dinner, toasts, and dances, then the DJ broke out a rad playlist for the party to keep going. Guests and the couple partied the night away with dancing and drinks and a photobooth.
Makayla changed into a reception dress, and we got a few final shots of Makalya and Colton dancing together on the beautifully-lit dance floor.
